You will benefit by becoming familiar with the lessons of both EEL and IEW by reading these posts below in the left column. I will post this information each after our CC day.
You will also be encouraged and equipped by having the links in the right column always accessible. These links include calendar items, schedules, and resources. Take heart! YOU CAN DO THIS!

Week 17/18

WEEK 17/18
Words of Encouragement
“I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:14

We are entering into our last quarter next week. Let us keep on!

EEL

REVIEW:
The students arrived promptly and received a sweet start. Instead of boards, we used large butcher paper on the tables. It was fun! I asked the students to write out several nouns on the paper. THEN I asked them to write out an adjective to describe, limit, or qualify each noun.

We then reviewed our structures, purposes, and patterns and spent a minimal amount of time on OCN/OCA. We had visitors so I tried to balance out the info we talked about.

MATH
We played a good ol fashioned game of BOARDSLAM. I had the students work for five minutes to see how many numbers they could knock out. THEN I had them erase their boards, and go at it a second time to see if they could BEAT their PERSONAL BEST!  It was hard, but GOOD!

IEW

REVIEW:
We listened in on our students paper. It melted my heart to hear about the hopes and dreams papers.

We then took time to look back at all the units, just for our visitors sake. Then we dove into the concept of INTRO & CONCLUSION.

These two serve as book ends to your paper, just like a Topic and Clincher sentence. I like to call them the BUNS of the paper. :)

Notice what would be included in each paragraph, and also notice how the info is moved around between the two.
